He drove to the coast to enjoy it. He looked down, he looked behind him, there was no one there. But the unsettling feeling that someone was there lingered. A gaze, a lukewarm feeling. Before he knew it, an hour, two hours had passed, and he was just staring blankly. He didn’t know if he was searching for someone or not. The sun had already begun to set, and the sea remained still. The feeling that someone was there had already disappeared.

うわ、これ、めちゃくちゃ研ぎ澄まされた空気感の描写ですね。誰かの視線を感じるのに誰もおらず、ただ時間だけが過ぎていく——あの「見られている感覚」の正体が気になって仕方ない。海の静けさと主人公の空虚なまなざしが重なって、なんだか自分までその場に立っているような錯覚に陥りました。fish guyってタイトルも、海の生き物のように漂う存在感を暗示してるのかな。続き、絶対に読みたいです。
