Hello. I’ll talk about my friend in America, Susan. I first met her at a library in Wakayama City. It was two years ago. I was writing an English speech for a class. Susan saw English on my notebook and talked to me. She wanted to make Japanese friends. We left the library and talked about our schools. At first, I couldn’t speak well in English because I didn’t talk with people from other countries so often. I did my best to speak in English, and Susan listened to me. She talked in English slowly for me. She said that some students in America came to school by car. I was surprised. I found both similar things and different things between America and Japan. Talking about those things was interesting to us. She stayed in Japan only for ten days, so I wanted more time to talk with her. Now, we often send e-mails to each other.
