If there were a utopia where almost all of your wishes could come true, would you want to step into that world? In this book, I plan to talk about that utopia, The World of Q. A utopia, a world where literally any wish can be “almost” fully granted. It is a truly wonderful world. It transforms into whatever you desire. Whether it’s a world filled with vast nature or a near-future world with robots and flying cars, it can change. With a snap of your fingers, the food and drinks you crave will appear instantly. Steaks, chicken, apple pie, roll cakes, and chocolate cakes—whatever you wish for will materialize. You can freely produce or drink anything you desire. It is truly a world of freedom, just for you. Shall I tell you the entrance to the utopia? The entrance is right there, just beside you. …Don’t you see it? If you reach out your hand, you’ll be able to touch it immediately. Don’t want me to make you wait and want me to tell you right away? Well, just be patient. By the time this book is finished, I’ll show you.
By the way, did I forget to mention the flaws of the utopia? There are a few. First, the first flaw: Once you step into the utopia, you can never return to this world. Though they say you can never return, I’ve seen a few people manage to come back… However, many others have found themselves unable to leave. It’s probably up to the person’s willpower. The second flaw: Your friends and family cannot enter the utopia. Only you, and you alone, can enter. And there are no other people in the utopia. You are the only inhabitant of that world. Don’t forget that. The third flaw: It is impossible to die in this world. No matter how hard you try, you cannot die. Accept it.
So, you’re probably thinking, “Who are you, anyway?” I haven’t introduced myself yet, have I? I am the guide to the utopia, and my name is Chocolate. Nice to meet you. Let’s get along, shall we? I’ve been guiding people to this utopia since around the 1960s. Over the years, I’ve sent countless humans into the utopia. Back then, I used to hide the fact that they couldn’t return to this world, but recently, as some people have managed to escape, I’ve changed my policy to disclose this upfront. Most of the people who try to come here either hear about the utopia from someone or decide to come on a whim, thinking it sounds like fun.
Well, those people won’t be able to come back, though. I don’t know where you heard about the utopia, but how about trying it out for yourself? Not by actually entering, of course, but more like a trial experience to give you an idea of what it’s like. After experiencing this, you can choose whether to enter or leave.
