The Frozen Secret: The Sacrifice of a PrincessA witch is nothing more than a “sacrifice” who spends her life bringing happiness to others. Once you become a witch, you must face a cruel, 1,000-year life. You are never allowed to walk at the same pace as the people you love.

One morning, I found Aira touching my pendant. Her fingers were trembling, but I didn’t realize why. Then, a letter with a royal crest was slipped under the door.

“Why does the Royal Family call you ‘Princess’?” I asked.

Aira began to shake violently, and I hugged her to calm her down.

Suddenly, Aira confessed her dark past. Unlike me, she never wished to be a witch. She was forced to become an “experimental subject” by the Royal Family.

Before I could say anything, a sinister light swallowed her, and she vanished.

I desperately chased her magic and finally found her inside a glass tank in a cold laboratory. I broke the glass and held her. Her body was surprisingly light and cold.

“Thank you. I had a great time, Seren. Now, run!” she whispered.

She used her last bit of magic to teleport me away from the facility.

”AIRA!!” I screamed, but I was already far away, alone again.

魔女。それは他者に幸福を運び続けるために一生を捧げる「生贄」に他なりません。一度魔女になれば、1000年という残酷な長寿に向き合わねばならず、愛する人と同じ歩幅で歩むことなど決して許されないのです。

ある朝、アイラが私のペンダントに触れているのに気づきました。彼女の指先は震えていましたが、私はその理由に気づけませんでした。その時、王家の紋章が入った手紙がドアの下から差し込まれました。

「なぜ王家はあなたを『姫』と呼ぶの？」私は尋ねました。

アイラは激しく震え出し、私は彼女を落ち着かせるために抱きしめました。

突然、アイラは自らの暗い過去を告白しました。私とは違い、彼女は魔女になることを望んだわけではありませんでした。彼女は王家によって無理やり「実験台」にされたのです。

私が何かを言う前に、禍々しい光が彼女を飲み込み、彼女は姿を消しました。

私は必死に彼女の魔力を追いかけ、ついに冷たい研究所のガラス槽の中に彼女を見つけました。私はガラスを砕き、彼女を抱き起こしました。彼女の体は驚くほど軽く、そして冷たくなっていました。

「ありがとう。楽しかったよ、セレン。逃げて……」彼女は囁きました。
