A Smile in the Park: A Memory from the PastOne day, I stepped into a park and noticed a suspicious man. He was staring at the children with a creepy expression.

“Karen, please! Go and call the parents!” I whispered. I pointed at the parents sitting on a bench. My hands were trembling with fear.

Suddenly, the man moved toward a little girl. He covered her mouth to stop her from screaming. “Let her go!” I shouted.

I ran toward them and focused my power into my hand. A bright magical light surrounded the man, and he soon fell into a deep sleep. I immediately handed him over to the police.

”Thank you so much,” the woman said, and the girl smiled at me. At that moment, I noticed a dimple on the girl’s left cheek. It was exactly like the one my own child had a long time ago.

I was able to sense the danger quickly this time. However, if I had been a few seconds late, the girl might have been hurt. I silently prayed for her happiness. I hope she is still smiling somewhere today.

ある日、私は公園に足を踏み入れ、不審な男に気づきました。彼は不気味な表情で子供たちを凝視していました。

「本当にありがとうございました」と女性が言い、少女は私に微笑みかけました。その瞬間、私は少女の左の頬にある「えくぼ」に気づきました。それはずっと昔、私自身の子供が持っていたものと全く同じでした。

今回はすぐに危険を察知することができました。しかし、もし数秒でも遅れていたら、少女は傷ついていたかもしれません。私は静かに彼女の幸せを祈りました。彼女が今日もどこかで笑っていることを願っています。
