第6話 - Episode6 Shinjuku station

I told Koharu-san what happened. Then, Koharu-san was extremely surprised. So she said she would help me. But… you don’t normally look for a stranger’s sister, do you…? But Koharu-san said she didn’t mind and we exchanged contact details. She said she wanted to be able to contact me anytime.

Koharu: “It’s just a coincidence that we met here!”

I was struck by those words. I will definitely find her. I will find my sister.

I heard afterwards that Koharu-san is 14 years old.

In front of the ticket gate.

I’ve never been on a train before, so I don’t know anything. She told me that I need something called Suika, but I don’t have that. Koharu-san taught me how to buy a ticket. Then I went through the ticket gate for the first time.

I was very happy.

And when I tried to sit on a chair to wait for Koharu-san, she grabbed my clothes. What…? Suddenly…?

Koharu-san looked impatient and was out of breath. In Koharu-san’s hand was my ticket. But this is the one that got sucked in at the ticket gate earlier, so… shouldn’t I bring it…? I thought.

I was an idiot.

I learnt that tickets come out when you put them in, and if you don’t take them out, you won’t be able to leave the station.

On the train, I apologised to Koharu-san many times.
