1. The Light of the Gem: A Brave Return”Sindaun!!” The terrifying screams of the cannibals echoed through the island. However, the girl did not run away. She held a glowing gem tightly in her hand.

”Hold on to me!” she shouted to Karen. She crushed the gem, and a bright magic circle appeared on the ground. “Sleep!” she cried. A red light spread like a wave, and the cannibals fell to the ground one after another.

Karen was shocked. “How can you use magic?” he asked.

The girl answered while breathing heavily. “I came to this island to save my parents. I realized that this gem was causing the trouble. When my parents were killed in front of me, I tried to run away, but I was caught. I felt magic in my hands, but I was too late to save them.”

”I see… but why did you let Seren go first?” Karen asked.

“Because I wanted to bring my parents’ remains home,” she answered quietly. With trembling hands, she carefully collected their bones one by one.

”Now, let’s go.” The girl used her magic again, and a path of light surrounded them. Another cat meowed softly, “Welcome back.”

“I’m home,” the girl smiled. “You should stay here for a while, too.”

Karen looked up at the sky and whispered in his heart, “Seren will be okay. We are always by her side.” The wind became quiet, and only the magical light remained. Their bond was shining brightly in this dark world.

「シンダウン！！」カニバリズム（人食い族）の恐ろしい叫び声が島に響き渡りました。しかし、少女は逃げませんでした。彼女は手の中に光る宝石を強く握りしめていました。

「私に捕まって！」彼女はカレンに向かって叫びました。彼女が宝石を砕くと、眩い魔法陣が地面に現れました。「眠れ！」彼女が叫ぶと、赤い光が波のように広がり、カニバリズムたちは次々と地面に倒れました。

カレンは衝撃を受けました。「なぜ君が魔法を使えるんだ？」と彼は尋ねました。

少女は荒い息をつきながら答えました。「両親を助けるためにこの島に来たの。この宝石が災いの原因だと気づいたわ。両親が目の前で殺された時、逃げようとしたけれど捕まってしまった。手に魔法が宿る感覚はあったけれど、彼らを救うのには間に合わなかった……」

「そうだったのか……でも、なぜセレンを先に行かせたんだ？」とカレンが尋ねました。

「両親の遺骨を連れて帰りたかったから」彼女は静かに答えました。震える手で、彼女は一つずつ丁寧に両親の骨を回収しました。

「さあ、行きましょう」少女が再び魔法を使うと、光の道が二人を包み込みました。別の猫が「おかえり」と小さく鳴きました。

「ただいま」少女は微笑みました。「あなたもしばらくここにいなさい」

カレンは空を見上げ、心の中で呟きました。「セレンは大丈夫だ。俺たちはいつも彼女のそばにいるから……」風は静まり、魔法の光だけが残りました。彼らの絆は、この暗い世界の中で明るく輝いていました。
