The Sanctuary of Shine: The Price of MagicI am the Water Witch. I visited the Sanctuary of Shine, the boundary between the living and the dead. This is a place where humans lose their souls, but for me, it was the only sanctuary where I could meet my boyfriend again.

I paid the toll to the angel—it was silver magic created from my own heartbeat. As the magic left my fingertips, the warmth of life left my chest. However, because I am a young witch, my body continued to generate new magic cruelly fast. This overflowing life force became a “wall of despair” that prevented me from embracing him.

”I missed you so much,” I whispered, but I had to stop at the “gap” on the floor. “If only I were not a witch… if only I didn’t love you.”

I knelt and cried. But he walked toward me and held his hand over my cheek in the air.

“Don’t cry,” he said. “I am counting the beats of your heart here.”

I felt angry at my destiny. To reach him, I must exhaust my magic, but my mission is to save people. Every time I save someone and bring happiness, my magic power increases, and the distance between us grows.

“It’s the opposite,” he smiled. “When you heal someone, my soul is melting into your magic. We are traveling the world together.”

The time was almost up. His silhouette began to turn into particles of light.

“Time is not for thinning love,” he said. “It is the final touch to make love real. When your mission is over and your power is completely gone, I will welcome you with the greatest hug. Until then, please love this world for me.”

”I love you, my proud Water Witch.”

He disappeared, and silence returned. I opened the door to the cruel world again. I cannot stop saving people. I will continue to bring happiness until my life force is completely used up. It is not a lonely wait; it is an endless date where I draw my love for him on the canvas of the world.

My journey never ends.

私は水の魔女。生者と死者の境界である「天空の聖所シャイン」を訪れました。ここは人間が魂を失う場所ですが、私にとっては彼と再会できる唯一の聖域でした。

「泣かないで。僕はここで君の鼓動を数えているんだよ」

私は自分の運命に怒りを感じました。彼に辿り着くには魔力を使い果たさなければなりませんが、私の使命は人々を救うことです。誰かを癒やし、幸せを届けるたびに、私の魔力は増え、彼との距離は開いていきました。

「逆だよ」と彼は微笑みました。「君が誰かを癒やすとき、僕の魂は君の魔法に溶けているんだ。僕たちは一緒に世界を巡っているんだよ」

時間は残りわずかでした。彼のシルエットが光の粒子に変わり始めました。

「時間は愛を薄めるためのものじゃない。愛を本物にするための最後の仕上げなんだ。君の使命が終わり、力が完全に枯れ果てたとき、僕は最高の抱擁で君を迎えるよ。その時まで、僕のぶんまでこの世界を愛してくれないか」

「愛しているよ。僕の、誇り高き水の魔女」

彼は消え、静寂が戻りました。私は再び残酷な世界へと扉を開けました。人を救うことをやめることはできません。命の力が完全に尽きるまで、私は幸せを届け続けます。それは孤独な待機ではありません。世界というキャンバスに、彼への愛を描き続ける終わりのないデートなのです。

私の旅は、終わりません。
