The Foggy Night in London: A Mother’s ShieldWe were traveling through time again. The area was filled with the smell of coal, and we could hardly see anything through the thick fog. The guide announced, “This is London, August 31, 1888.”

Kurona whispered anxiously, “Something is wrong. This is the era when Jack the Ripper killed his first victim. Usually, the time machine doesn’t take us to such dangerous places.” At that moment, a woman’s scream pierced the darkness. A knife flew from behind. I instinctively covered Kurona’s eyes. “Don’t look!” I whispered.

When I opened my eyes, I saw a woman who had been brutally killed. “Keep your eyes closed,” I told Kurona. I used my magic to become invisible and ran to the woman, but she was already dead. I heard the sound of police whistles. To protect the history, I used teleportation magic to move us and the woman to a safe place.

”Thank you for protecting me, Mother,” Kurona whispered. Her words healed my heart more than anything else. “I’m sorry. I wish I hadn’t become a witch,” I said.

But Kurona smiled and said, “I know you became a witch to protect the people you love. My master told me that. I am happy that you are my mother.”

I hugged her tightly. She is my most precious treasure.

「守ってくれてありがとう、お母さん」クロナが囁きました。彼女の言葉は何よりも私の心を癒してくれました。「ごめんね。私が魔女になんてならなければよかったのに」私は言いました。

しかし、クロナは微笑んで言いました。「お母さんが愛する人を守るために魔女になったことは知っているよ。師匠が教えてくれたもの。あなたが私のお母さんで嬉しいよ」

私は彼女を強く抱きしめました。彼女は私の最も大切な宝物です。
