A New Family Member: Protecting KairosOne sunny afternoon, Kurona came home with a boy named Kairos. His body was covered in wounds. “What happened to you?” I asked, but Kairos only replied, “It’s nothing.”

A few days later, Kairos broke down in tears and said, “I’m at my limit.” I used my magic as a witch to heal his body and spirit. To protect him, I completed the official procedures at the city office in just a few days. I used all my knowledge and experience because there was no time to lose.

Suddenly, a man began banging on the door. “Open up! Give me back my property!” he shouted. It was Kairos’s father. I immediately called the police. Even in front of the officers, the father claimed that his violence was “education.”

”Why can a parent do such a thing?” I felt deep sadness and anger. A parent should be a person who protects their children. I hugged Kurona and Kairos tightly. “You are safe now. I will protect this family no matter what happens,” I promised.
