Christmas in 2042: The Weight of CareWe were traveling through time again. The guide tried to explain, “This is 2042…” but Seren interrupted him. “I know, it’s Christmas, right?”
“Please let me finish my sentence!” the guide cried. But Seren was already looking at a police officer running in the distance.
They were in Japan on December 25, 2042. While walking through the town, they saw a shocking scene. A caregiver was holding a knife, trying to attack an elderly person tied to a wheelchair.
“Stop!” Seren shouted. She used her magic to take the knife away.
The caregiver burst into tears and cried, “Why am I the only one crushed by work? I was supposed to spend Christmas with my family!”
Soon, the police arrived and took him away. Seren whispered to herself, “He must have become a caregiver to help people. But the reality of physical restraint and the increasing number of elderly people broke his heart.”
As a former caregiver herself, Seren understood his pain very well. Kurona held her hand and said, “It’s okay, Mother. I believe he will find the right path again.”

すぐに警察官が到着し、彼を連行しました。セレンは心の中で呟きました。「彼は人を助けたくて介護士になったはず。でも、身体拘束や増え続ける高齢者の現実が、彼の心を壊してしまったのね」
元介護士であるセレンは、彼の痛みが痛いほど分かりました。クロナが彼女の手を握り、「大丈夫だよ、お母さん。彼はまた正しい道を見つけられると思うよ」と言いました。
セレンは深く息をつき、微笑みました。「そうだね。行きましょうか」
